Be A Part of EMBER SWIFT'S New Project

If you're not familiar with Ember Swift, don't worry. Just run her name through Google and you'll be occupied for days, weeks or even months sifting through the pages upon pages of her digital footprint. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her, certainly because of what she's accomplished, but more so because of the person that she is, and has to be, in order to achieve the tremendous results that she's achieved.

I've had the privilege of working with her on several occasions throughout her career and I've watched in awe as she's grown from being an unknown playing in front of 20 people at Holy Joe's in Toronto to touring all over the globe performing in front of audiences of thousands, and selling more than 50,000 CDs over the course of her career.

Ember Swift has ten CD releases to date and is currently working on her eleventh, once again with producer Tim Rideout of FibiiSonic Studio in Montreal. She has done all of this as an independent artist and is an absolute inspiration to all indie artists out there who are trying to achieve similar results. Ember is living proof that it can be done if you want it badly enough.

Ember's New Album Campaign

On December 17, 2010 I posted a blog (Where Are Things Going For Music Sales And Musicians? http://tiny.cc/neszv) where I presented a few examples of how artists are embracing the new technologies that are responsible for dramatically changing the music industry's business models and capitalizing on them rather than just hoping it will all go away. For her newest project, Ember has put together a fantastic campaign to get people involved in helping her make it all come to fruition.

There are eight packages to choose from and in return for your contribution to the project (depending on which package you choose), she's offering you the ability to have your say with regard to which songs make the final cut, the running order of the songs and wait for it... she's offering to perform a solo concert in your home or via Skype depending on the logistics of where you are and where in the world she is at that time.

This is the kind of creativity that's necessary in the new music business and it's campaigns like this that continue to strengthen the trust economy. Ember Swift is the real deal and I am thrilled to be a part of this project. Here is the link to all the details for those who want to learn more about it and participate in making it all happen.
